Thousands gather to witness local Proclamation

Thank you to the thousands of people who gathered in Windsor today to witness the local Proclamation for the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead.

With Windsor Castle and the Queen Victoria Statue as a fitting backdrop, this colourful historic ceremony included a procession by civic dignitaries and the Band of the Household Cavalry, before an address by the mayor, Cllr Christine Bateson, and the official reading of the Proclamation by the town crier, Chris Brown.

If you weren’t able to attend, please do check out our video highlights and further photos on our Facebook and Twitter channels.
