Planning update 05 - 03.01.2014 - Proposed Development at Water Oakley
Bray Parish Council (BPC) organised an extraordinary Planning Committee – in the Saxons Barn, Dedworth Rd on the 31st October at 7.30 pm – to discuss the two Applications (13/02719 and 13/02720) associated with the proposal to build 44 new Houses on Greenbelt Land at Water Oakley.

OGAFCA advertised the Meeting which was well attended by Members of the Public. There were several Speakers, both For and Against the proposals, followed by a short Q&A session. OGAFCA Representatives spoke at the Meeting.

The Outline Application for 44 Houses was Recommended for Refusal by the BPC Planning Committee by 6 votes to 5 and the second Application for the style of houses was Recommended for Approval by 6 votes in favour, 2 against and 3 abstentions.

After listening to the discussions, OGAFCA decided to write to the RBWM Planning Department expressing concerns about the scale and impact of the proposals. View OGAFCA letter

At the time of writing, RBWM are still considering the Applications and they may yet be referred to the Maidenhead Development Control Panel for a final Decision. We will continue to keep you informed about the status of these important Applications in the Green Belt.
