Have you tried the upgraded Oldfield Road junction?

Works to upgrade Oldfield Road roundabout in Maidenhead are now complete, and the new junction is open.

Thank you to everyone for your patience while traffic control was in place.

The roundabout has now been upgraded to a traffic light-controlled junction to ease the flow of traffic in preparation for Maidenhead regeneration which will bring new homes, businesses, and job opportunities to the town.

The works are part of a larger £6.33m road improvement scheme which will see upgrades completed at six key roundabouts in Maidenhead.

Windsor Neighbourhood Plan adopted

Windsor's Neighbourhood Plan was adopted during a full council meeting earlier this week.

The plan, which was approved at a referendum in May, sets out objectives to preserve the historic nature of the town and protect green spaces. It also aims to manage developments in the area to better reflect the wishes of residents.

There’s still time to enter Garden in Bloom!

If your garden is something to boast about, there's still time to enter it into our annual Garden in Bloom competition.

Submit your entry on our website, email gib@rbwm.gov.uk, or post it to the Mayor’s Parlour at the Town Hall, St Ives Road, Maidenhead SL6 1RF by the new deadline, Wednesday 14 July.

Due to cold and dry weather in April, plants are flowering later than usual. To give everyone the chance to enter into this competition, the Mayor, Councillor John Story, announced the deadline extension at full council earlier this week.

Councillors will judge entries on a ward-by-ward basis, with rosettes awarded to the winner and runners up in each. To learn more, read our press release.

The return of this service will provide dedicated local support for our residents and businesses.

If you have any questions, or want to get in touch with the team, email building.control@rbwm.gov.uk.
