Household Support Fund

We’ve launched a fresh round of the Household Support Fund that will provide one-off payments and Free School Meals vouchers to those who are most in need this winter.

The funding from the Department for Work and Pensions will be allocated by our partners including charities, services and community hubs on a first come, first served basis for local residents who are over 18 and facing financial hardship.

The fund is one of the many ways that residents can access support in the borough in different situations, that are outlined on our ‘Here to help’ pages

New support for Early Onset Type 2 Diabetes

NHS Frimley has launched a new free 12-week support programme for borough residents aged 18 to 40 recently diagnosed with Early Onset Type 2 Diabetes (EOT2D).

Tens of thousands of people in England live with EOT2D but there's been a 39% rise in recent years of under-40s who have been diagnosed.

The first 12 months after diagnosis are the most important so the programme helps give people the tools to self-manage the condition.
