Leisure Focus Grand Community Celebration

Your invited to a weekend of celebration, community and fun from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 April to mark our new 15-year partnership with Leisure Focus!

Councillors and officers from the Royal Borough met with trustees from Leisure Focus on Tuesday to mark the start of the new contract, which will see a rebrand and design of the gyms at Braywick, Furze Platt, Charters and Cox Green, and the addition of new sports facilities at Dedworth Middle School.

An installation of a new soft play area, more studio spaces at Braywick, extended opening hours at Cox Green, and new Padel courts at Windsor are also planned.

All money raised over the weekend will go towards the Active Communities programme, which gets people into sport.

Partnership Digital Survey

The Berkshire Digital Infrastructure Group (DIG), comprising all six Berkshire local authorities, are carrying out a survey to better understand how residents use and access the internet, including what online services are used the most and the barriers that prevent some people from accessing digital services.

It takes approximately 10 minutes and your responses will help us to identify ways to improve digital inclusion in Berkshire.

Complete the survey by Wednesday 16 April

Know the symptoms of bowel cancer

April is bowel cancer awareness month.

Having these symptoms doesn’t always mean you have bowel cancer – but knowing the symptoms is important to help spot it early. The earlier that it’s found, the more treatable it’s likely to be.

You can also help someone by sharing your story on Bowel Cancer UK's #PassItOn story wall
