Crackdown on town centre fly-tipping
Our ‘cleaner greener safer’ task force has targeted Windsor town centre as part of the borough-wide crack down on fly-tipping and supporting the national Great British Spring Clean campaign.
Last week, councillors and contractors for street cleaning, waste and enforcement visited Windsor town centre to engage with residents and businesses directly and clear waste. They also cleaned up the town centre, picking litter and removing graffiti and fly-posting.
This follows the crackdown in Maidenhead town centre earlier this year, which has led to 11 fines being issued to residents and businesses. Fly-tipping is a serious criminal offence that risks a fine of £400, or up to £50,000 if prosecuted in court.
