Next stop for taskforce covers Ascot and Sunninghill in latest borough clean-up 


Our ‘Cleaner, Greener, Safer’ task force has hit the streets of Ascot and Sunninghill this week (Tuesday 29 July), in the latest of a series of targeted clean-up days across the borough. 

Building on the previous clean-ups in Maidenhead and Windsor earlier this year, the day of action saw council teams out with Cabinet members and contractors to help spruce up public spaces - tackling litter, fly-tipping, removing graffiti, and talking to local businesses about how to responsibly dispose of their waste.

Get moving at the Desborough Suite with Leisure Focus!

The sessions, which will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, are hosted by Leisure Focus’ well-loved fitness practitioners. Activity will expand in the coming months, to offer a more enhanced fitness programme and the opportunity for greater daytime community use.

Come along to our Environment and Climate Change Strategy workshops

 

Following the publication of the Climate Impact Report, we are working on the Environment and Climate Change Strategy 2026-2030. Ahead of the future public consultation on the strategy at the end of 2025, community groups and residents are invited to attend our early engagement drop ins this summer.

 

Hosted by the council and The Climate Partnership, the sessions will be run in libraries throughout the borough over August, to hear directly from residents, community groups, businesses and anyone passionate about the environment.

Summer swim lessons for teens


As part of our River Safety Campaign, Leisure Focus is offering free supervised swim sessions to help teenagers stay active and safe this summer. Available at three locations across the borough, you can book online or walk in and speak to reception (limited places available).


Summer Reading Challenge
