Have a happy and safe Halloween!

Halloween is here – a chance to dress up, decorate and celebrate with your community. Our team of Community Wardens has been out this week talking to vulnerable residents and businesses to ensure everyone can enjoy a safe, happy Halloween.

While Halloween is an exciting time for many, be aware that not everyone is happy to host trick or treating. If you don’t wish to have trick or treating, then please download and display these posters produced by Thames Valley Police.

Sunningdale community hub secures £25,000 grant for green transformation

Holy Trinity Community Hub in Sunningdale will transform its historic church building into a modern, energy-efficient space following a grant from the Royal Borough’s Climate Partnership - a collaborative initiative driving local climate action.

The church as a community hub will receive £25,000 for ambitious plans to create a welcoming, inclusive space that dramatically reduces energy costs and carbon emissions with the installation of a new solar array.

Halloween waste

Pumpkin looking a bit deflated? Once the fun of Halloween is over, why not repurpose your pumpkin as compost, soup or make sure to dispose of it properly by using the green food waste bin, collected weekly from 7am on collection day.

Successful prosecution for Maidenhead shop selling illegal vapes

A Maidenhead convenience store and its owner have been ordered to pay more than £10,000 after being caught selling illegal vaping products and incorrectly labelled shisha.

This follows an investigation from our Trading Standards team. Robust enforcement ensures traders who play by the rules aren’t disadvantaged by those who don’t.
