As part of Zero Waste Week, you can take simple steps to reduce waste at home and make the most of the borough's recycling services.
Local waste analysis shows that 45% of the material placed in black bins is food and organic waste, with around a third suitable for collection through a food waste caddy.
If you're not already recycling your food waste, it's easy to get started. Any plastic or paper bag can be used to line your food waste caddy, and replacement caddies can be ordered online.
We're also looking forward to our Preloved to Reloved event on Saturday 19 September in Ascot, where you can donate unwanted items and discover practical ways to give everyday belongings a second life. The event will take place during Recycle Week, which starts next week and celebrates the steps we can all take to recycle more and waste less.
