Throughout Recycle Week, we've been highlighting some of the everyday items that can be recycled at home and sharing practical ways residents can make the most of the borough's recycling services. |

Food waste remains one of the biggest opportunities, while items such as yoghurt pots, aerosols, foil, paper and card are still commonly found in black bins. Simple actions such as rinsing containers, recycling food waste separately and scrunching clean foil into a ball can help to increase recycling across the borough and support the national target to recycle 65% of waste by 2035. |

Get rid of unwanted items at Preloved to Reloved this weekend |

Join us at our Preloved to Reloved event on  Saturday 19 September from 10am to 2pm at All Saints' Church, Ascot.
Alongside the opportunity to donate good quality furniture and household items to charity, there will be even more to see and do, with local organisations offering hands-on activities, sustainable living advice and creative ideas for reusing everyday items. |

Remembering the Battle of Britain |
|
|
 This year marks the 86th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, a time to remember the courageous members of the RAF who emerged victorious in a pivotal moment during the Second World War.
To mark the event, a civic service will take place at 11am on Sunday 20 September at Parish Church of St John the Baptist, Windsor. Residents are welcome to attend. A parade by the Royal Air Force Air Cadets, accompanied by a pipe band, will take place before the service, beginning at Castle Hill towards the War Memorial for the wreath-laying ceremony. To view the parade, please be in place by 10.25am along the route.

A warm welcome to Cranstoun |

Our drug and alcohol service Cranstoun celebrated the establishment of their new offices in Maidenhead Town Hall yesterday, making services more accessible to residents right in the heart of Maidenhead.
The team offers a free and confidential service to Royal Borough residents requiring advice and support to reduce their drug and alcohol use, empowering them to make positive changes to improve their health and wellbeing. |
