Voting is now open to decide the final four

Royal Borough bus names. Over 250 fantastic ideas were submitted by residents, ranging from heartfelt words of remembrance to punny takes on Royal Borough classics.

Now you can choose your top four names, with winning entries displayed on Carousel buses to be seen by millions of people.

Open until Sunday 18 October.

State Visit to take place in Windsor

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Sultan of Oman, has accepted an invitation from     His Majesty The King to pay a state visit to  the United Kingdom from Tuesday 20 October to Thursday 22 October 2026.

Their Majesties The King and Queen will        host the state visit at Windsor Castle.

To support this state visit, the Royal Borough is working with Thames Valley Police, the Royal Household and other key partners to minimise disruption to those that live and work in, or plan to visit, Windsor.

Are you an unpaid carer? Come along to a carers drop-in session

If you look after a family member, friend or neighbour who could not manage without your support, you may be an unpaid carer.

Join our free carers drop-in sessions to find out about local support, meet other carers and access advice and information from organisations including Age UK Berkshire, Berkshire Carers Hub and the Royal Borough.

Sessions will take place across the borough throughout October and November.

Kidwells Skate Park update

Refurbishing Kidwells Park’s much-loved skate park is going well, with concrete for the new ramps now being laid.

Cllr Mark Wilson popped down to see the work plus pick up some skateboarding tips from skate park user Tom Wright.

Volunteer for Windsor Community Poppy Project

The Windsor Community Poppy Project is entering its most ambitious stage yet as thousands of handmade poppies created by residents, schools, care homes and community groups are brought together for this year’s remembrance installation at Windsor Parish Church. Volunteers are now needed to stitch the poppies onto the panels that will form the finished display.

We love the animals at Pets Corner in Ray Mill Island which is why we have made the difficult decision to find them new homes. This decision has been made because we have concerns about whether the current setting can continue to provide the environment and care that the animals need and deserve.
