The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Borough Local Plan has been drafted and the “Preferred Options Consultation” period has just begun. This is an extremely important process as it will set the direction for Development Planning and House Building in particular for the next 15+ years to 2030. Information will be coming out soon about the Consultation which will go on until mid March. Please have your say and make your views known as RBWM say they will (and are legally obligated to) consider responses from the Public and make any necessary changes before submitting the Local Plan for examination by the Planning Inspectorate in the Summer. After that, the Planning Inspector will review the Plan and it is hoped it will be formally adopted in early 2015.
Underneath/alongside the Local Plan sits the Bray Parish Neighbourhood Plan (BPNP). This will describe in more detail the local direction for development Planning and will hopefully incorporate all the feedback we gave at the various Public Events at the end of 2013. OGAFCA delivered a coloured 4 page Flier about the status of this effort just before Christmas. There will also be a Consultation period for this as well – later in the year.
We will continue to keep you informed about these important processes.
