Aldi submitted formal plans for its proposed discount store at the Wyevale Garden Centre site back in May. Whilst many Windsor residents would welcome the availability of a discount store in the Windsor area, the view of OGFRA (and many other organisations/residents) is that this is not an appropriate site. The next step is for the application to go to the Borough’s Development Management Panel.
One of the concerns with the proposed store is the effect of the additional
traffic generated on local roads, including the already congested A308.
